Dr. Martinez, who holds a Doctor of Ministry from Westminster Theological Seminary and a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, served as a pastoral counselor. He previously provided biblically grounded counseling through Living Word Evangelical Free Church and now practices independently.

Dr. Martinez views counseling as an indispensable part of pastoral ministry and is passionate about helping people move from the damaging effects of sin into the healing arms of God. Drawing from Scriptures such as Romans 5:3–5, Colossians 1:13–14, and 2 Peter 1:3. His counseling emphasizes God’s provision for lasting transformation.

His approach is pastoral and Scripture-centered, focusing on identifying root issues and applying relevant biblical truths to bring clarity and healing (Proverbs 20:5; Hebrews 4:12–16). Depending on the client’s faith background and receptivity, he incorporates prayer during sessions and encourages alignment of personal values with God’s design.

Over nearly four decades of ministry, Dr. Martinez served as pastor of Living Word Evangelical Free Church while also counseling individuals and families on a wide range of concerns. His life experiences—as a migrant worker, truck driver, machinist, welder, and pastor—have uniquely shaped his ability to empathize with clients’ struggles and point them to biblical hope (Jeremiah 17:9; John 17:3).
